Welcome! I'm Keri, owner of The Flaming Fingernail, and a creative native of Aotearoa (New Zealand). I also do not like photos! Just imagine me being really good looking. ;)
I chose the name "The flaming fingernail" as a nod to the atua wahine (Maori goddess - simplified description) "Mahuika", who has flames for fingernails! I attribute my creativity to this fiery element inherited via my Maori ancestry. Creativity is a huge part of my character, one that I previously tried to suppress in order to fit into an "acceptable" role in society. This plunged me into a deep spiritual depression. I have created this business not only as an outlet for my creative pursuits, but as a way to honour my authentic nature.
My art is imbued with my unique energy and fingerprint. It is for those who resonate with it. Deep thinkers, lovers of colour and detail, those who hear a whisper beneath the noise, inviting them to follow the unbeaten path... And it's ok to prefer something different!
The flaming fingernail is a store for people from all walks of life. How boring would the world be if we were all uniform?!
My dream for The Flaming Fingernail is to inspire others to nurture their own dreams. Oh, and to make me mega rich of course (Hook me up). XD
